Small Business? - small business acquisition

I'm starting in the UK for some time and planning, a small business from home with my current job and, if successful, take the full time and leave your job.
Some ideas come to mind, such as the Internet or establish a business on eBay and use of wholesale or dropshipper.
Or contact some wholesalers and home, where local business ads, etc., but not yet clear that this is a good idea and that the products they can sell.
Is there someone who I can about every small business that would first begin at home guide?
Or a good idea, I could help start small businesses? We hope that the community can help me with some good ideas and advice.
